Pight Demo vs Full Game

15-level demo versus 90-level release—what you get on Steam.

Demo vs Full Game

Pight launched on Steam August 8, 2026, with a free demo and a paid full release. Both are published by Mindlabor, share the same minimalist textless presentation, and use the same control scheme. The difference is scope: how many levels you can play, which mechanics appear, and whether extras like the level editor and full achievement set unlock. This page helps you decide where to start and what changes when you upgrade.

What the 15-level demo covers

The demo is a vertical slice of the opening difficulty curve, not a separate mode. You get:

  • Levels 1–10: push piston fundamentals (Walkthrough: Levels 1–10)
  • Levels 11–15: introduction to pull pistons (Walkthrough: Levels 11–20 covers the full second batch; demo stops halfway)
  • Same UI, undo, and gamepad support as the full build
  • No spoilers for sticky blocks, portals, dynamite, or late mechanics

Fifteen levels are enough to answer: “Do I enjoy build-run-undo logic?” If yes, the full game continues the same design language with new tools every ten levels.

What the full 90-level game adds

Mindlabor advertises eight unique mechanics introduced roughly every ten levels across the campaign. After the demo ends, the full release continues with:

  • Sticky block adhesion — see Sticky Blocks & Portals
  • Portal teleportation (replacing rails from older previews)
  • Dynamite destruction — see Dynamite and Undo
  • Additional late mechanics in levels 50–90 that remix earlier systems

Difficulty runs from relaxing introductions to “insufferably difficult” endgame stages per the Steam description. Stuck on Hard Levels helps when the curve outpaces you.

Level editor (full game only)

The full release includes a level editor for building custom piston puzzles. The demo does not ship editor access. Editor tools use the same palette blocks as the campaign; there is no in-game text tutorial, so expect experimentation. Share codes or screenshots with the community if you build noteworthy stages.

Achievements and Steam Cloud

The full game lists 15 Steam Achievements on the store page—typically progress milestones, mechanic introductions, or campaign completion. Demo achievement support may differ; treat achievements as a full-game perk.

Steam Cloud saves level progress in both demo and full versions on supported platforms. Upgrading from demo to full usually keeps your appetite for puzzles; verify your platform sync if you switch machines.

Which should you play first?

Play the demo if:

  • You are new to logic puzzlers or redstone-style thinking.
  • You want zero risk before spending money.
  • You only need a short cozy session (under two hours for many players).

Buy the full game if:

  • You cleared level 15 and want pull-piston mastery through level 20+.
  • You crave sticky-portal-dynamite depth.
  • You want the editor and full achievement hunt.

Skip the demo only if you already know you love Mindlabor’s style from streams or friends and want the complete 90-level arc immediately.

Content overlap and wiki guides

Wiki walkthroughs reference level numbers that exist in both versions where applicable:

  • Guides for levels 1–10 and partial 11–15 work in the demo.
  • Guides for 16–90 assume the full purchase.
  • Mechanic pages describe systems that appear after the demo slice—still worth reading as previews.

Platforms and requirements

Both demo and full game support Windows, macOS, and Linux with modest specs (~500 MB storage, 1 GB RAM). Controller and mouse are fully supported. No multiplayer: Pight is single-player only per release facts.
