Pight Walkthrough: Levels 31–40
Dynamite, chain reactions, and tighter portal routing.
Levels 31 through 40 introduce dynamite as a first-class puzzle tool—not a gimmick. After sticky blocks and portals in Walkthrough: Levels 21–30, Mindlabor expects you to plan destruction order, preserve the light block path, and undo failed blasts without rage-quitting. This band is where many players first feel the full game’s difficulty curve.
What changes in levels 31–40
| Level band | Focus | Wiki support |
|---|---|---|
| 31–33 | Dynamite placement basics | Dynamite and Undo |
| 34–36 | Chain reactions across rows | Block Types + sticky carryover |
| 37–38 | Portals + dynamite same board | Sticky Blocks & Portals |
| 39–40 | Multi-step blast sequences | Puzzle Planning Checklist |
Read Dynamite and Undo before level 31 if you skipped the mechanics hub. Dynamite removes blocks permanently within its blast pattern—there is no soft reset except full level restart.
Dynamite fundamentals
Dynamite sticks to blocks and detonates when triggered by pistons or other game rules on that level. Core habits:
- Blast radius is fixed per tile type. Hard blocks may survive; soft blocks vanish. Check Block Types before assuming a wall will break.
- Light block safety first. If a blast could open the goal path but also delete your only push lane, undo and try another stick position.
- One blast per hypothesis. Place, trigger, observe, undo. Stacking three dynamite sticks before testing is how level 38 wastes twenty minutes.
- Sticky clusters and dynamite. A glued group moves as one unit until split by mechanics or destruction. Sometimes you must blast one cube to free the rest.
The Boom achievement tracks dynamite-related milestones—this band is the natural place to unlock it.
Portal + dynamite combos (37–40)
Late thirties combine portal routing with blast setup. Typical pattern:
- Route a spare block through a portal to reach a dynamite trigger line.
- Keep the light block on a safe lane while the blast clears debris.
- Use pull pistons to reposition after the board changes shape.
Portal exit facing matters more after dynamite removes walls. A block that teleports into a void tile may be irrecoverable without reset.
Undo discipline
Pight’s undo stack is generous but not infinite on every build. Treat undo as a lab notebook:
- Undo after every failed blast.
- Undo after portal tests that send the wrong block.
- If you lose track of move order, reset the level—faster than guessing.
See Controls for keyboard shortcuts. Mobile players get the same undo on touch UI per Mobile and Platforms.
Common stall points
Level 35–36: Chain reactions that look correct on paper but delete a piston anchor. Fix: identify which hard block must survive the blast.
Level 38–39: Portal order vs dynamite timing. Fix: solve portal path with a dummy block before moving the light block.
Level 40: First “exam” level mixing stickies, portals, and two dynamite sticks. Fix: write a five-step plan on paper using the Puzzle Planning Checklist.
If you are still blocked, Stuck on Hard Levels walks through the debug loop without spoiling exact solutions.
Electricity preview
Powered tiles and routing appear after level 40 in the full ninety-level campaign. You do not need Electricity and Power Routing yet, but skimming the tier list entry helps you recognize yellow power symbols when they appear in Walkthrough: Levels 41–50.
