Pight Electricity and Power Routing
Sources, wires, powered pistons, and circuit planning.
Electricity is Pight’s late-mid campaign mechanic—introduced around level 41 and stacked on pistons, stickies, portals, and dynamite from earlier tiers. Powered tiles change which pistons fire, which gates open, and sometimes which blocks count as conductive. This guide explains routing logic without spoiling individual level solutions.
Why electricity feels harder
Earlier mechanics mostly affect local tiles: one piston push, one portal hop, one dynamite blast. Power is global: a move on the far side of the board can de-energize a piston you need near the light block. The Mechanics Tier List ranks electricity near the top for this reason.

Routing workflow
- Locate all sources on the grid before moving the light block.
- Mark required powered pistons—which must fire for the goal path?
- Draw a minimal path from source to each piston, noting conductive blocks you can move vs fixed hard tiles.
- Plan sticky and portal moves so they do not sever the path prematurely.
- Execute non-destructive setup first; dynamite last if the level includes blasts (Dynamite and Undo).
- Undo any step that dims a required piston indicator.
Powered pistons vs manual pistons
Manual pistons respond to block contact every time. Powered pistons add a state check:
- Some fire only while the circuit is live.
- Others toggle when power toggles—meaning a portal move can flip them off mid-solution.
- Pull pistons still matter: pulling a conductive block off a wire breaks the chain.

Interactions with other mechanics
Sticky blocks: A conductive sticky cluster carries power as one body. Merging or splitting clusters changes circuit topology instantly.
Portals: Blocks exiting portals may land on wire tiles or off them. Test portal order with a spare cube before committing the light block (Sticky Blocks & Portals).
Dynamite: Blasts that remove conductors permanently alter circuits. There is no repair except undo or level reset.
Hard blocks: Often anchor routes but may insulate. Do not assume every immovable tile passes power.
Common mistakes
- Powering too early locks a gate before the light block is positioned.
- Ignoring pull chains that drag conductors away from sources.
- Portal-first without circuit check teleports the only wire block out of the network.
- Skipping undo after a circuit looks “almost lit”—partial power states mislead.

The Level Editor supports power tiles in custom boards. Official levels teach conservative routing; player-made puzzles often demand ** redundant paths** or timed sequences. Treat custom electricity levels as advanced practice after clearing Walkthrough: Levels 41–50.
